Training Video for SDM & LAM
A 40-minute video featuring seven dramatized episodes focusing on women and couples with diverse family planning goals and needs. The video is a skill-building tool to train service providers on counseling, screening, and demonstrating correct method use to clients of SDM and LAM. Based on the training requirement, a single episode can be used independently or the entire video can be shown.
This video clip is part of the introduction to the SDM and LAM training video where the narrator explains how and by whom the training video can be used. The training video shows various real life scenarios vis-à-vis SDM and LAM counseling.
This video clip is part of a longer episode that shows a counselor interacting with a potential SDM user. In the full episode the counselor checks the client for eligibility to use SDM and then shows her how the CycleBeads are to be used.
This short clip shows the beginning of a conversation between a counselor and a woman who expresses a desire to start using SDM. The full episode runs through how a counselor should check a woman who has previously been using the pill for SDM eligibility and, if she is eligible, tell her how and when she can start using SDM.
This clip is taken from a longer episode that shows a conversation between a counselor and a client who expresses a desire to use SDM. The full episode shows how the counselor finds out if the client`s husband will support her for SDM use. The episode ends with the counselor suggesting a more suitable family planning method for the couple based on what she finds out from the conversation.
In this short clip a counselor speaks with a couple about their desire to start using a natural method of family planning. In the full episode the counselor learns that the client has recently used an Emergency Contraceptive Pill and that they do not regularly use a family planning method. The counselor screens the woman for eligibility and advices the couple on how and when they can start using SDM.

In the full episode, the counselor checks the client for eligibility to use LAM and explains to her that LAM is a transitional postpartum family planning method and she should think about which method she would like to adopt once she is no longer eligible for LAM.
